Annual Verboort Sausage and Kraut Dinner
~ "Always the first Saturday in November"~

** Thank you to all of our friends who made the 73rd Verboort Dinner the most successful Dinner of all time!**
We hope to see everyone next year.

"Sample everything but focus on the sausage and kraut. Forget about calories--you can do penance later, and besides, this food is only available one night out of the whole year." --read all of Jim Dixon's past article on the Verboort Sausage Festival here.

Every year the folks in Verboort have invited a few of their neighbors over for a sausage and sauerkraut dinner. In 1934, 198 lbs of sausage and 10 gallons of sauerkraut were served to 150 diners. In 1999, 13 tons of sausage and 350 gallons of sauerkraut were served to over 8000 diners. This year, over 10,000 diners are expected for this annual event.

Yes, a beer garden is available at the nearby Verboort Rod & Gun Club. Shuttle bus service runs continuously, and dinner ticket numbers are announced on location so you know when to return for dinner. Minors are not allowed at the beer garden or on the shuttle bus.
