The Visitation Involvement Program (VIP) fosters involvement in
the school and parish. Volunteering keeps tuition costs down and
enriches the quality of education for our children. Our two major
fundraisers are the Verboort Dinner in November and Brauts, Bids
& Brew Dinner/Auction held in May. The enthusiasm and dedication
of parent volunteers contributes to VCS's warm atmosphere and is
an important part of our success.
Here is a break down of VIP:
Two parent families are responsible for earning 50 VIP
hours per year (the first day of summer vacation in June through
the last day of school the following June). Single parent and Kindergarten
families are required to earn 25 hours.
Verboort Dinner 'Always the first Saturday
in November.' (November 4)
Working at the Verboort Dinner is required
for all families. Each two parent family
must work a total of ten (10) hours, excluding hours worked by children.
Single parent and Kindergarten families must work a total of five
(5) hours, excluding hours worked by children.
Brauts, Bids & Brew Dinner/Auction
All families are required to spend
a minimum of four (4) hours working on activities for the Brauts,
Bids & Brew Dinner/Auction (three (3) of which must be the night
of the auction; unless planning to attend the auction as a guest).
We also require a $75 donation from each family.
Your Verboort Dinner and Brauts,
Bids & Brew Dinner/Auction hours count toward your total 50/25
hours worked.
How can I earn more
VIP Hours?
Parents can volunteer in a number of ways during and after school.
Here are some suggestions: Manage school's Network, Library Aide,
Technology Aide, Hot Lunch Assistant, Office Assistant, School Maintenance,
Room Parent and more. Please contact the school office 503.357.6990
to find out how you can help your Visitation Catholic School.
