The purpose of the Student Council is to serve the school as a whole.  The Student Council, as a representative body, acts as a liaison between students and administration.  A primary objective of this Council is to reinforce school spirit through communication and participation.

At VCS, many students have an opportunity to experience leadership positions in Student Council. Each September, grades 4 through 8 vote for Student Council leadership. Each trimester a new 'student administration' rotates to give as many students as possible the opportunity to experience leadership. The Student Council is comprised of the following: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Communications Officer, Fifth Grade Representative and Fourth Grade Representative.
