What year did you begin teaching? How long have you been teaching at VCS?
I have been volunteering once a week in the VCS Library since 2002. This will be my second year on staff at Visitation.

Favorite Subjects:
My favorite subjects are Reading, History, and Art.

Why I am a librarian:
I am a librarian because my mother worked in a library when I was a child, so I grew up around books and have always loved them. I want to share that love of books with our students.

What I like most about being the librarian at VCS:
The kids are great. It's fun to try to find books that match their interests. It makes me happy when they tell me they enjoyed a book I suggested.

How my faith influences teaching:
My faith is my guide in everything that I do. I share my faith when reading to the kids by picking books where the characters exhibit Christian values. We have a lot of discussions about what we read. The students are really able to identify the morals taught in the stories. It is a daily reaffirmation of my faith to see them express theirs.
